Small Modern Wood Cremation Urn – Walnut & Sycamore Planturn™ (25 Cubic Inches)
This small modern wood cremation urn offers a meaningful and modern way to honor a loved one. It holds up to 25 cubic inches of ashes (about 2 cups), making it ideal for a small pet, an infant, or as a keepsake urn.
At the top, there’s room for a small succulent or cactus, adding a living element to your memorial. Meanwhile, the cremains are safely stored in the hidden chamber below.
We handcraft each urn from solid blocks of wood. For the top, we use rescued California Sycamore, while the base features FSC Certified Black Walnut. After shaping and sanding the vessel to a smooth finish, we apply a low-VOC matte oil and wax blend. As a result, the piece is both durable and environmentally conscious.
Each small modern wood cremation urn includes a ceramic plant holder and a muslin bag for the ashes. In addition, rare earth magnets hold the top and bottom securely in place—creating a seamless and sturdy closure.

Since we work with real wood, each urn will have its own unique grain and coloring. Therefore, no two urns are exactly alike. If you prefer a piece without visible knots, please let us know in the “Special Instructions” box at checkout.
